We are looking for a Senior Middleware Consultant to join us in London, U.K. In this role, you’ll help customers quickly and strategically achieve value while building enterprise-wide capabilities. Being open is core to our technologies and our consulting approach. This position is a great opportunity for you if you're passionate about learning new offerings and technologies and expanding your core base of expertise while promoting Red Hat's solutions. You will put our unique middleware applications capabilities for DevOps, continuous integration (CI), and cloud-based development consulting projects to use. You'll lead the on-site implementation of Red Hat's technologies like Red Hat JBoss Middleware, Red Hat JBoss Fuse, and Red Hat OpenShift. As a Senior Middleware Consultant, you will play a key role in our customers' evolution in enterprise development and help make our solutions both practical and workable for their businesses. You'll work to gain understanding of customer infrastructure and business needs, make recommendations that resolve their issues, and help them make strategic decisions. You'll then build enterprise applications and capabilities around cloud technologies to streamline development and allow for continuous feature release of applications.

• Empower customers to achieve success with Red Hat solutions by working on a range of projects, from short to longer-term engagements
• Serve as the trusted on-site expert to our customers, addressing technical, development and IT requirements, and implementing robust solutions
• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, implementation, testing, customer training, and deployment of open source solutions
• Provide technical expertise to help customers achieve success with Red Hat's middleware portfolio
• Demonstrate knowledge of emerging technologies, and the latest modern application development techniques
• Identify, analyze, and resolve issues with customer deployments

• Good communication skills and comfortable working directly with customers to achieve their goals
• Comfortable with continuous learning, and working across a broad spectrum of technologies and use cases
• Experience building Java or JEE solutions, with ideally a focus on integration, microservices, messaging, and business automation
• Understanding of modern, cloud-native application development and actively keep up-to-date with the latest trends
• Experience working with middleware technology; experience with either Red Hat Middleware or other middleware vendors is a plus
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Focus on customer success
