We’re looking for a talented motion designer/editor to help us tell our story through video. You’ll work with our creative team of writers and designers to lead video production from concept inception and pre-production through post. Our ideal candidate is capable of working autonomously, but also able to join a larger team on bigger projects, with in-house and external teammates. If you enjoy working on the live production side of things as well, even better. We’ll be creating live doc-style videos, including customer stories/case studies. If you’re comfortable behind the camera or in other production roles, there will be opportunities to flex those skills, too.
We don’t expect you to be an expert in payments or sales tax or e-commerce. We want you to bring your creative video expertise along with a healthy sense of curiosity.
Responsibilities:
- Create animated videos that help customers understand Stripe and TaxJar’s products as well as the complex landscape of e-commerce, payments and sales tax.
- Act as a producer for live video shoots with smaller production teams.
- Edit live footage to help tell complex stories in engaging, accessible ways.
- Work with designers to bring our brand to life through motion
- Bring new ideas and approaches to how we think about our brand communications
Qualifications:
- A reel of past work that demonstrates creative thinking and an excellent design sensibility.
- 2+ years of experience editing a variety for a variety of media: motion graphics, documentary style videos, branded content and social media campaigns
- Superb knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Strong skills as a producer/project manager and demonstrated ability to see projects through from inception to completion.
- A love of storytelling and a curiosity that drives you to learn new things.
