We’re looking for a talented Backend Engineer obsessed with APIs, Javascript, backend systems, data flows, models, infrastructure and security, to play an instrumental role in building impactful products and features, to service millions of cardholders. ⚙️ What you'll be doing

- Design, build, and maintain backend features, services, and APIs within a variety of areas, like credit/risk/fraud management, internal tools, banking connectivity, payment processing
- Iterate and improve our existing systems that power Extra
- Regularly participate in code reviews and other team functions (Like presenting your work!)
- Work closely with our core teams to design and build features, in a fast-paced environment

📚 Requirements

- 1-3 Years of Backend Node.js Development Experience
- Strong CS fundamentals and problem solving skills
- Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical team members, a positive attitude, and ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- Fluent with Node.js 14, ES7/8, Express, JEST, MySQL, Postgres, Redis
- Plus: knowledge of Digital Ocean, CI/CD, Websockets, Objection.js ORM, ETL, Kafka, Kubernetes, scaling, security, big data
- Plus: previous fintech experience
