PeopleSoft Sr Application Developer Location: KS-Overland Park Driving Infinite Possibilities Within A Diversified, Global Organization Summary Provide development support for enterprise PeopleSoft projects including PeopleSoft Modules: Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Payroll, and Time and Labor. Responsible for leading application analysis, design, development, integration and enhancement. Daily responsibilities include leading multiple, concurrent projects and daily support efforts. This position is based in Overland Park, Kansas, however 100% remote work from anywhere in the United States is acceptable. Duties and Responsibilities Performs installation, functional and performance testing, maintenance, and modification of PeopleSoft. Proactively analyzes PeopleSoft to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements. May oversee or lead the evaluation and selection process for application packages. Provides buy vs. build recommendations, including advising on system options, risks, return on investment (ROI), and impact to business processes. Leads the development of guidelines and standards to be utilized in software development/ integration including developing and leading implementation plans for integration testing. Interfaces with testing teams to incorporate plans into integration testing process. Reviews modules for quality assurance,ensures compliance with application architecture standards and oversees unit testing to ensure applications meet specifications. Identifies system requirements, develops application specifications, leads conversion and migration efforts, and develops convergence plans toward standards. Identifies better sources of data feeds and interfaces with Enterprise Architects to ensure feasibility with corporate data warehouse. Establishes liaison relationships with business partners and/or suppliers in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs and influence strategic initiatives. Works closely with Technical Review Board and Enterprise Architects to assure all systems are in line with the long-term IT strategy. Provides technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members both inside and outside their area of responsibility while looking for ways to apply the latest technologies for improvements to software and organizational effectiveness. Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment. Takes actions necessary to ‘stop’ work when an unsafe condition or action is identified. Every employee has the right and responsibility to stop work when unsafe conditions or actions are identified. You Must Have Bachelor’s Degree. US Citizenship to obtain and maintain US Dept. of Energy ‘Q’-level security clearance. Seven or more years’ of experience developing and supporting PeopleSoft. Experience with SQL (ability to develop, modify, and troubleshoot queries) We Value Experience with the PeopleSoft development including Peoplecode, SQR, Application Engine, and COBOL SQL (preferred), XML Publisher, Query Manager, Fluid, Component Interface. Proven ability to mentor peers to better results and identify appropriate training to improve teams technical bench strength. Demonstrated initiative to maintain technical currency. Advanced skill in identifying and resolving technical problems and effectively communicatingstatus.
