Job summary
Red Hat’s Information Technology (IT) team is looking for a Platform Architect with significant experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC) architecture to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will steer the vision, direction, and design of an SFDC reimplementation that will serve as the foundation for years to come. You’ll need to be a recognized subject matter expert with solid technology focus and be able to effectively communicate across layers, shaping strategy, laying the SFDC enterprise architectural framework, and guiding the design and development of functional and technical architecture.

Primary job responsibilities
Be responsible for the development of application architecture roadmap and ongoing maintenance of the application architecture blueprint for Red Hats SFDC transformation project
Engage across all layers and coordinate with other architects to quickly gain understanding of current state, document business and application interdependencies, flush out details regarding end state vision, and develop multi-year transition roadmap
Create contextual and conceptual models to document complex business processes and capabilities
Create, manage, and use IT and technology architecture models
Manage and participate in the Architecture Review Board for review, development, and maintenance of SFDC
Define, document, and evangelize standards, patterns, and industry best practices
Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and business stakeholders in the development of the strategic portfolio or business team plans
Provide comprehensive analysis on opportunities, risks, and tradeoffs associated with transformation
Collaborate with vendors and represent Red Hat at industry forums
Enable a culture of continuous learning and identify opportunities to incorporate best practices or relevant emerging trends into Red Hats skill repository
Understand business architecture for direct sales, partner community, and customer support, as well as field marketing and finance
Required skills
15+ years of experience within the IT area; 7+ years of that with application architecture
Experience with at least one (preferably more than one) enterprise SFDC implementation(s) or reimplementation(s)
Experience across multiple large projects with key roles in defining them, shaping solutions definition, building buy decisions, and implementing tools, technologies, and processes
Experience with high-volume, high-velocity engineering application systems; deep knowledge of application, application constructs, data architectures, and implementations is a plus
Solid experience with microservices, service-oriented architecture, Rest APIs, Java, JEE, C#, .Net, JavaScript, RDBMS, relational databases, ETL, real time analytics, data warehouse, agile methodologies, DevOps toolsets, etc.
Demonstrated ability to identify and provide proofs of concepts for innovative technologies and guide their adoption into the mainstream
Advanced level of knowledge of sales cloud and service cloud
Solid communication and persuasion skills; ability to persuasively present viewpoints based on audience level
Solid ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders and internal team members
Experience working with visualization software applications like LucidChart
Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance
Experience with security standards like Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), data encryption, and encryption at rest
Experience with sales and service cloud integrations with Oracle or SAP ERP backend
4-year bachelors degree in computer science or IT-related course of study is a plus
