PR Specialist, Software and B2B (Part-Time, Remote) B is looking for a part-time, remote PR specialist to support our software and B2B clients. If you’re a natural at building relationships, a podcast addict and someone who is always sniffing out news hooks and story angles, this role is a great opportunity for you to support a small portfolio of clients. Our small, boutique agency has carved out a niche in supporting CEOs in building up their thought leadership and expertise, as well as supporting non-fiction book launches, so comfort in B2B and podcast outreach is a must. For this particular role, experience supporting SaaS products is strongly preferred, as this is a growing arm of the company. About our company: B was founded in in 2011 by Brigitte Lyons, who came out of a traditional agency background in public affairs and corporate communications. The company started as a solo consultancy, but as demand for our work has grown, we’re thoughtfully expanding. Our team is dedicated to working together to develop our skills, systems and process, in order to create highly targeted campaigns that leverage proven systems. We believe in sharing best practices and resources across the team, because when we get better as practitioners, we get the best results for our clients. Your responsibilities: Conduct media outreach, prepare media briefings, media kits and coverage reports Build media lists and develop relationships with media contacts and journalists Provide message training for clients Field incoming media opportunities on behalf of clients Create and deliver weekly client reports; track progress against established goals You bring to the team: 3+ years working in media relations or journalism; preferably with experience in B2B and software Experience and ease in developing pitch angles and building relationships with the press Experience and talent for writing headlines Eagerness to develop a close relationship with clients — you view them as collaborators, not as obstacles in getting work done Amazing follow-through and strong organizational skills A growth mindset and willingness to follow and refine established procedures and best practices You must be able to work on 2-3 clients at a time, and you can count on spending 15-20 hours working with B each week. This is a part-time, subcontract position with flexible hours depending on your availability and preferred workflow. Only US residents are being considered at this time
