Come use your skills and experience to represent Red Hat with our strategic hardware partners. The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a Principal Partner Manager to join us in Westford, MA. In this role, you will work with assigned strategic partners to enable Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenStack, and Red Hat OpenShift. You'll work closely with our partners' engineering product leads to promote the enablement of their products across Red Hat's portfolio. As a Principal Partner Manager, you will be responsible for managing engineering relationships, partner requirements and escalations throughout the release process.


  • Work with assigned strategic partners
  • Organize and guide all ongoing partner technical deep dives
  • Maintain a good technical working knowledge of your assigned partners' solutions, including product needs and roadmaps
  • Host partner engineering engagements across various product divisions within our partner's organization
  • Host and facilitate partner technical reviews, e.g. engineering roadmap interlocks
  • Work on partner technical escalations with the Engineering team
  • Maintain partner enablement dashboards
  • Successfully follow through on all engineering escalations around feature requests, exception requests, or mutual customer issues
  • Assist Red Hat Support in customer-to-partner escalations
  • Work closely with Product Management teams across the Red Hat portfolio

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related discipline
  • Good knowledge of x86 architecture or other architectures
  • Experience with the open source development model and Linux or UNIX
  • Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenStack, and Red Hat OpenShift
  • Motivated and able to learn quickly, with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to assess partner requests while taking into account Red Hat's goals, requirements, and strategic directions
  • Demonstrated leadership experience working with and guiding cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

The following is considered a plus:

  • Working experience with various programming languages, as well as with various server architectures
  • Experience working with a networking company
  • Working knowledge of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) sector, especially experience working in a tier 1 OEM
