Inspire senior technical buyers in the global enterprise datacenter marketplace to choose Red Hat OpenShift with Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage (RHT platform) to run their stateful workloads. The Red Hat Business team is looking for a Principal Technical Evangelist to join us. In this role, you will continuously build positive perception among technical influencers in the global marketplace for Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage, which can run in a public cloud, private cloud, or on-premises in hyperconverged bare-metal configurations. You’ll work with customers, solutions architects, and product management to discover, describe, and evangelize what differentiates Red Hat OpenShift with Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage from competitors when running popular stateful applications. You’ll also work with product and portfolio marketing to build positive perception for Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage among technical influencers within the analyst, press, and seller communities. As a Principal Technical Evangelist, you will be a member of the Technical Marketing team with other solutions architects and technical evangelists. You’ll work closely with the Product Marketing team, which guides the Business team’s marketing agenda. You’ll need to have basic practical technical skills with Linux, Red Hat Ceph Storage, and Red Hat Gluster Storage. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.


  • Author and present technical content at industry conferences and online forums to shape buying preferences of vice president and C-level technical buyers within enterprise IT and cloud-native companies
  • Discover what differentiates our solutions from competitive alternatives by working with customers and partners who deploy and operate both solutions
  • Contribute to or lead workload optimization reference architecture projects staffed by solutions architects
  • Collaborate with the Product Marketing and Field Marketing teams by providing technical evidence of differentiation to be embedded in their marketing collateral and programs

  • 7+ years experience architecting distributed Linux-based solutions for datacenter environments
  • Basic practical Linux skills; Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is a plus
  • 10+ years of experience working on a technical team
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Passion for open source and community-based software development models
  • Experience giving compelling presentations in large and small industry forums (evidence on YouTube)
  • Ability to discover and convey solutions differentiation relative to competitive alternatives (evidence in published blogs)
  • Author of compelling informal blog content, as well as more formal technical marketing collateral (evidence online)
  • Experience authoring and presenting technical content at industry conferences and online forums to shape buying preferences of vice president and C-level technical buyers within enterprise IT and cloud-native companies
  • Knowledge of how distributed software, servers, and network elements are combined into scalable datacenter and edge solutions
  • Experience discovering what differentiates enterprise solutions from competitive alternatives by working with customers and partners who deploy and operate both solutions
