Edquity seeks a Product Designer to design initiatives that help our students fight poverty. The Product Designer will drive the design process to create solutions that address the nuanced basic needs challenges that students face. This position will be fundamental to defining our product strategy and design, working with the product team to create impactful, usable, and delightful products. 

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product, user research, engineering, and other stakeholders to understand problems and propose impactful, thoughtful solutions
• Communicate design solutions at every level of fidelity -- from sketches, wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, to high fidelity prototypes
• Ground solutions in a deep empathy for the lived experience of student users and practitioners serving these users
• Contribute to effective documentation of solutions, frequently interacting with engineers during the implementation process
• Steward the development and iteration of Uplift, Edquity's design system

Qualifications:

• Experience in a product design role, preferably embedded within a cross-functional product team
• Strong record of shipping design solutions that solve problems for users
• The ability to maintain and iterate on a design system
• An understanding of and passion for our product and the problems it works to solve for college students facing basic needs insecurities
• Track record of thoughtful verbal and written communication
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• A high level of empathy and a positive attitude
