Product Management Apprentice

HiringThing is looking for a temporary PM Apprentice for the Product Management team. The position is a 3-6 month-long temporary position and may lead to full-time employment after the program is completed.

We are a cloud-based software company that helps companies post jobs online, manage applicants, and hire great employees. Weve been in business since 2012 and are growing rapidly. We're a technology-first team dedicated to building the greatest recruiting software available. Our company is fully remote with no physical office. We keep in touch with Slack and regular video conferences. We meet as a team daily and are required to connect with other teams during standard business hours. You can work from home, a coffee shop or the beach as long as the work gets done.

Who you will be working with:

You will be part of a small Product/Design team of 4 that work closely together and collaborate extensively with our Engineering and Client Service teams to develop and test elegant solutions to recruiting software needs.

Who you are:

Were looking for someone with a passion for learning and a strong interest in product management, metrics, ideation and software product development.

What you can learn:
  • How to create product requirements documents including user stories, workflows, wireframes, and business rules
  • How to plan product releases in coordination with customer service, support marketing teams
  • How to manage projects across multiple departments
  • How to use remote communication and management tools such as Slack, Confluence, and Jira
  • How to involve clients in product management for beta testing, feedback, and ideation
  • How to perform design audits
  • How to set up Jira projects, workflows, and configurations
  • How to write product documentation
  • How to create and execute a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Plan
Requirements:

  • Familiar with data analysis tools
  • Bachelors Degree is an extra bonus, but not required
Position type:
  • Temporary, non-exempt hourly position
  • 20-30 hours a week
  • $15-$18 DOE
