Atlassian is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our marketing team. You will develop and implement marketing strategies and programs to increase awareness and adoption amongst our existing customer base of our enterprise Git and CI/CD offerings: Bitbucket Server, Bitbucket Data Center, and Bamboo. You will work closely with Product Management and other marketing teams to craft product positioning and messaging to ensure that we are effectively articulating the value of our enterprise DevTools products. You will help influence the product roadmaps by bringing market and customer insights to R&D.

About you

You have 3-5 years of product marketing, technical marketing, professional services, and / or sales engineering experience in a high tech, software company - ideally focused on developer or technical oriented products. Have you have worked in the trenches long enough to know what motivates developers, and love to participate in developer forums and communities? Ideally, you should be familiar with agile practices, continuous integration, continuous delivery, containers, and DVCS, and generally has a real passion for technology.
You have strong verbal and written communications and you are able to articulate complex technical concepts and distill them into tangible stories that developers respect. You're a passionate, self-starter with a can-do attitude and data driven. You're eager to jump in and get things done but don't get flustered in a fast-paced and often changing environment. Aside from individual responsibilities, you are a great teammate who continually finds ways to make our teams better.
You should be able to:
  • Translate complex technical subjects into engaging stories for developers and product admins
  • Understand the market problems and find ways to drive growth
  • Use customer and competitive research to influence product roadmap and drive effective messaging
  • Partner with Product Managers to develop product strategy and the go-to-market vision for your product(s)
  • Implement improvements to accelerate conversion rates at each stage of the sales funnel
  • Build and execute upsell and cross-sell campaigns to targeted customers from the bottom up (identify goals, risks, audience, messaging, and tactics)
  • Generate high quality content for customers, evaluators, advocates and channel partners including emails, blogs, webinar content, uses cases / customer stories, and more
  • Engage directly with the developer community at industry events and in online forums
