Our growing Product Team is looking for an experienced Product Owner to capture development requirements for our journey towards a scalable and reliable API platform that is intuitive to integrate for our partners, customers and internal development ecosystem. In partnership with your Product Manager, you will own the execution and delivery of our platform API initiatives. With over 3,000 customers and a robust partner network, your actions and contributions will have a far-reaching impact on our multi-product business. 

What You Will Do

• Research, define and design API platform requirements and scope through epics, user stories and diagrams
• Validate functionality and workflows, ensuring we're solving the right problems at the right time
• Learn the technical user personas of our multi-product business and be the voice of internal and external developers, partners and customers who build on our API platform
• Work with a variety of stakeholders and cross-functional teams to execute our API platform roadmap, planning and prioritizing objectively
• Set your development team up for success by closely partnering with them in sprint activities, providing them with relevant user stories, and guiding them in estimation
• Own and manage the intake of work to the backlog, including day-to-day grooming and prioritization while facilitating iteration planning efforts, ensuring your development teams have organized work
• Manage incoming requirements from other Scrum Teams to ensure dependencies are planned for and prioritized, keeping internal product development unblocked and productive
• Lay the technical foundation for the growth of our platform and the addition of new capabilities

Your First 90 Days

In your First 30 Days, your focus will be understanding in order to contribute. You will learn Unanet from the lens of current platform capabilities and what is to be delivered over subsequent quarters. With the support and guidance of your Product Manager, you will help to clarify and align on requirements and targets by helping refactor user stories, increasing our likelihood of near-term success. You will partner with Product Management, Scrum Masters, Tech and Team Leads to better understand your team's strengths and opportunities. 

In Day 30 - 60, your focus will be to evaluate, realign and define. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to understand the direction we're going in and why. Empowered by what you have learned, you will work with your Product Manager to question, redefine and revalidate the API platform roadmap for the next three (3) quarters. Working with your Scrum Teams, you will further define and solidify those very deliverables.

In Day 60 - 90, you will execute and evangelize. With the support of your Product Manager, you will help build a Go-to-Market plan for all API platform deliverables. You will be the guiding light for your Scrum Teams as they execute on your well-defined deliverables. You will engage with fellow Product Owners to proactively define, rank and groom work backlogs for platform initiatives. 

Who You Are

• 3+ years of Product Owner experience for an API or Integrations team in an Agile software development environment
• Strong technical writing and visualization skills
• Demonstrable track record of execution and product delivery, including under tight deadlines
• Ability to identify gaps, program risks and proactively address them
• Prior experience with working and communicating cross-functionality and with remote team members and stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree
