Program Architect

Strategic Architect who helps customers establish a solid architecture foundation, effective architecture governance and a continuous delivery engine to allow Salesforce to serve as a mission-critical customer platform. We are looking for Enterprise Architects who have worked in large transformational engagements. The Enterprise Architect is the senior level of Technical Architect. The Enterprise Architect is expected to ensure that the overall architecture is maintained in a coherent manner and that appropriate considerations are made for its security and quality. The primary role of the Enterprise Architect is to ensure that the respective business, application, data and technology perspectives are in line with the organisation’s technology and governance strategies, policies and standards.

You are both a big picture thinker and in-depth problem solver, your knowledge and skills are both broad and deep. You take pride in designing systems that stand up to high volumes and won't fail at critical points. The solutions you design are built for the long-term and will scale with the customer's growth plans seamlessly. You have proven experience integrating systems via API’s as well as a strong development background.

Responsibilities
  • Provide architecture leadership and oversight for large transformational enterprise impacting initiatives to ensure that solutions development aligns with the defined architecture strategies
  • Lead development of multi-year strategies and implementation roadmaps for various business units across a customer's enterprise.
  • Lead the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive useful business context
  • Lead analysis of the current environment of the customer to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improving IT’s value proposition to the business partners
  • Be aware of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture
  • Promote the EA processes, strategies and recommendations to the organization, including the enterprise's IT and business leaders
  • Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions aligned with client business objectives; identify gaps between client's current and desired end states
  • Provide oversight and governance of Salesforce projects

  • Follow and help define coding standards. Lead code reviews during projects to ensure quality and appropriate design patterns are followed
  • Manage the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation
  • From time-to-time, the PA may be expected to partake in other pre-sales activities such as discovery and technical deep-dive sessions, Proof-Of-Concept (POC) development with prospects
  • Liaise with Salesforce product teams to support client implementations
  • Travels to client sites for projects, estimated 50-75%
Requirements
  • 12+ years experience as an Architect in mid-large enterprise IT environments
  • External consulting experience, including implementations with one or more common enterprise software solutions
  • Experience with enterprise application, data, security and integration architecture patterns and domains
  • Expert level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Community, Marketing, and Community Clouds
  • Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes
  • Strong background in design/development of large web-based systems, or complete software product lifecycle exposure
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Salesforce development and configuration.
  • Understanding of systems architecture and ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions
  • Familiarity with platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth)
  • Knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems (ETL, CPQ, marketing automation, reporting, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
  • Experience with platform security capabilities (TLS, SSL)
  • Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire
