Job Description

The Project Manager will support the Program Management Office (PMO) on the management of schedule, scope, cost, staffing, quality, issues/risks, deliverables and client communications on multiple project initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide management on multiple project initiatives
  • Lead teams through initiation, planning, executing/monitoring and controlling, and closing of designated projects
  • Ensure project work is well-defined and planned. This includes thorough scope definition, estimation, cost-budgeting, resourcing, scheduling, and placing under ongoing change control
  • Ensure effective risk, issue, action, and change management, including timely decision making for risks and changes, timely issue resolution, and comprehensive action management
  • Establish, maintain and execute an effective communications plan serving all stakeholder needs. Ensure team clarity on objectives, scope, and roles, and communicates the work plan with regular and meaningful reports on status and performance
  • Excel at stakeholder management by exhibiting good listening, speaking, writing, and negotiating skills
  • Interface with government stakeholders to ensure requirements are delivered on time and within budget

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience or 4 years related experience and/or training
  • Must be proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, email, database, contact management, internet, and project management software (this includes MS Office)
  • Must have experience or education with project management tools and methodologies
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must have excellent customer service skills

Additional Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive experience managing/operating large-scale health care/technology programs and subject matter expertise with 1095-A casework
  • Leadership and management of casework including monitoring, control, and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification preferred
  • Experience with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) or other government health care initiatives desired
  • Strong creative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communications skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, SharePoint and Visio
