Use your technical skills to help us improve our customer-facing solutions. The Red Hat Global Support Services (GSS) Quality Engineering (QE) team is looking for a Quality Engineer to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will develop automated tests for a functional area of a solution within our extensive portfolio of offerings. To do so successfully, you'll first need to understand the solution's architecture and how it integrates with other offerings. As a Quality Engineer, you will serve as an individual contributor of the team while also cooperating with other team members and developers.

• Define automated test strategies, methodologies, processes, and procedures
• Investigate and recommend test architectures and associated infrastructure pieces to support the QE methodology, process, and procedures
• Investigate and recommend testing and automation tools
• Contribute to weekly team meetings
• Provide an accurate and timely status of automated testing efforts and quality statistics to the product leadership team

• Bachelor's degree in information technology (IT) or computer science with 3+ years of related experience
• Expertise in programming languages like Python, Java, or Ruby
• Expertise in user interface (UI) automation using Selenium or other open source tools
• Expertise in API and HTTP communication and performance testing of web applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of shell scripting is a plus
