We're a music tech startup based in Australia, with a remote team in New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe and Russia. Our app, DISCO, is used by some of the world’s best music and media companies to manage their music assets and workflow. Some of our clients include Universal, Warner, Hipgnosis, Beggars, BMG, Mute, Netflix, Sky TV and Sentric.

DISCO has become the standard for file sharing in the music industry, with an extremely engaged customer base.

We are looking for someone to join the growing team in the UK, assisting with sales and customer onboarding, on a full time basis.

The successful applicant will have experience working in the music industry and be very comfortable with data management and learning new tech systems.

 

The role will involve:

  • Sourcing targeted leads through research, identifying potential companies and markets to contact based on specific criteria.
  • Building out strategies for scaled outreach and implementing them to schedule.
  • Engaging with decision-makers, gaining an understanding of their pain points and establishing motivations, ensuring each lead is likely to benefit from our product.
  • Organising demos with clients and prospects and following up as required to ensure they have all the information necessary to make an informed decision.
  • Maintaining our CRM to a high standard.
  • Working with the global sales team to meet financial goals.
  • Onboarding clients: working with our data team to assist clients moving on to DISCO from their existing platforms and systems.
  • Assisting in the training of new clients.
  • Exploring creative ways to support existing clients.
  • Contributing to the positive development of our product and it’s growth in the UK, Europe and beyond.

Requirements

  • Experienced and able to speak to previous successes in a sales/customer facing role.
  • Ambition to build your own pipeline of contacts through research and outreach.
  • Ability to engage with decision-makers through outreach and follow up meetings/ calls in a timely manner.
  • Team player - collaborative rather than competitive. Keen to work towards common goals with the company’s interest in mind. Open to helping out in areas outside of your role on occasion.
  • Initiative to problem solve and troubleshoot.
  • Self-motivated to prioritise and achieve results.
  • A keen eye for detail - good at keeping CRM up to date with the required information, spotting important leads, adapting your approach depending on the prospect.
  • Commercially minded - excited about workshopping and implementing ideas for scaling outreach and customer engagement.
  • Tech fluent - ability to pick up new software and tools quickly.
  • Excellent communicator - both verbal and written communication skills are of high importance in understanding the product and communicating its value to new prospects.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and its implications for outreach.
  • Experience working in the music industry.
  • An existing network of contacts within the music industry.
  • Comfortable presenting to clients in person and via screen share calls.

Bonus points:

  • You are a spreadsheet ninja - master level with Excel.
  • Multi-lingual
  • Experience working in a SAAS company
  • You’re a DISCO user
  • Specific knowledge of radio, PR, marketing, management in the music industry
  • Experience using Pipedrive and Asana
