Salesforce is looking for an experienced Sales Programs Associate to join a growing Sales Programs and ECS team in Europe.

The role will report into the Sales Programs Director and scope of coverage is our Enterprise Corporate Sales team across EMEA. The position will be based out of our landmark office in Paris.

The EMEA Sales Programs office is a relatively new unit at Salesforce EMEA, re-launched in 2015 with a view to define and deliver significant change to sales and marketing alignment along with structured demand generation efforts. Sales Programs is an important role within the Sales organisation and features a mix of Demand Generation planning/coordination/execution based on Pipeline trending analysis and participation in the ECS leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior programs/marketing/business development-level individual or an experienced sales/marketing professional with exceptional business acumen and analytical skills to join the most innovative company in the high-tech industry, with a fast track into a leadership position. Deliverables take the form of Programs creation/execution, sales and sales strategy alignment, sales enablement coordination, Innovation and Best Practice sharing. The successful candidate will regularly brief executives and own various cross-functional initiatives.

The Role

The ideal candidate will:

  • Work together with ECS Leadership team and be a trusted advisor to them regards pipeline.

  • Drive pipe gen programs for the ECS AE’s to execute from the current playbook

  • Design, plan and implement monthly call out programs, which will include planning process, working with key senior stakeholders in business, cloud sales, sales management and aligning with regional Sales Programs plans where possible.

  • Ensure full engagement of EMEA ECS AE teams in relevant demand generation actions via ongoing communication with full involvement in the Sales management team, and review of results.

  • Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on pipeline trends and progression with a view to developing business

  • Activities will include: coordination of all contributors to sales program activities; delivering briefings, continuous improvement in contacts lists and content, reporting on results and successes, assessing effectiveness, recommending areas of improvement.

  • Identifying and promoting best use of demand generation tools within sales teams, and sharing demand generation best practice across countries and segments.

  • Aligning with data science teams in HQ to bring innovation and new programs to the ECS teams.

  • Develop a passion for Salesforce technology and how we help our customers be successful

Desired experience

  • 3+ years experience in a similar programs role or business development, sales readiness, marketing or sales, in a high tech environment. Combination of these an advantage.

  • Proven track record in driving demand generation / campaigns / programs through and with senior field sales organisation

  • Strong leadership, networking, relationship-building, communication and influencing skills.

  • Must be able to network across the company and to build/manage cross-functional virtual teams – experience of bringing together and leading virtual teams (without the formal management authority) to deliver on a joint vision is important

  • A genuine European – able to work with and become a trusted advisor to the range of cultures across our EMEA Sales teams.

  • Strong organisational ability, experienced in planning and managing a systematic approach to demand generation through sales teams.

  • Proactive, creative and innovative thinker. Must be able to generate consistently new ideas for driving and supporting divisional priorities through Sales Programs that deliver value and strong results.

  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful.

  • Highly collaborative style with strong influence skills

  • Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands; sense of urgency

  • English & French proficiency is a requirement, additional languages a plus.

  • BS/BA required; MBA a plus, but not required

  • Some travelling required
