\nThe Senior Salesforce Developer has the knowledge and skill to design, develop, and maintain software applications and back-office systems. You will be dreaming up innovations and writing the code that powers our ministry. This is an opportunity to be part of a talented, agile, high-energy team doing cool development work, while also working with people who share your values. \n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\n\n\n* Develop Apex & Visualforce applications for CCM's websites/portals, internal business processes, back-office systems, and mobile applications.\n\n* Design, develop, test, and maintain custom applications on the Salesforce / platform using agile development methods.\n\n* Build software that allows our employees to delight our members.\n\n* Explore and recommend new technology platforms and capabilities.\n\n* Participate in agile development teams, constantly improving quality and throughput.\n\n* Cross-train with senior development staff in the maintenance of applications, databases, and stored procedures.\n\n* Participate in code reviews so all engineers become the best they can be.\n\n* Unit and system test new software.\n\n* Keep learning: seek advanced certification on the Salesforce platform.\n\n* This position requires a self-starter and quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a passion for delivering a wow experience.\n\n* All other duties as assigned\n\n\n\n\nEssential Skills: \n\n\n* Design and develop advanced customizations using developer toolkit including Apex Classes, Controllers, and Triggers, Visualforce, IDE, Migration Tool, schedule jobs, batch jobs, and email services.\n\n* Understand Salesforce MVP pattern and Salesforce schema.\n\n* Design and maintain formula fields, roll up summary fields, declarative process vs coding.\n\n* Understand Salesforce governor limits and writing test classes to maintain code coverage.\n\n* Knowledge of SDLC and Salesforce coding standards.\n\n* Maintained Salesforce AppBuilder and/or Platform Developer 1 certifications.\n\n* Manages integration initiatives and implementation of third party plug-ins.\n\n* Knowledge of Jira, Bitbucket, Salesforce DX is a plus. You will be expected to learn our deployment process and adhere to it.\n\n* Experience with Lightning Conversion is a plus.\n\n* Communicates Effectively – strong oral and written communication skills, adapts approach to the audience, listens attentively and actively, and encourages ideas and opinions.\n\n* Decision Quality – objectively gathers information, combines analysis, wisdom, experience and judgement, and can make decisions based on incomplete information.\n\n* Ability to work independently as well as being a strong team player.\n\n* Situational Adaptability - Ability to rapidly learn and apply new technologies, is flexible, and understands impact of situational and group dynamics.\n\n\n\n\n\nOther Skills and Abilities:\n\n\n* Ability to learn and learn fast\n\n\n\n\n\n* Self-starter who will figure out what it takes to get the job done\n\n\n\n\n\n* Timely and reliable, enjoy working with and in teams and are a team player\n\n* Possess a proven ability to execute on developed strategies\n\n* Understand, actively participate and are passionate about continuous improvement\n\n\n\n\n\n* Care about the details and getting things exactly right\n\n* Organized\n\n\n\n\n\n* A great attitude\n\n\n\n\n\n* Education/Experience: Minimum of 3+ years application development / programming experience in Apex code/triggers, Visual Force, and SOQL\n\n\n
