JOB PURPOSE: 

This role of Functional Consultant – Transportation Management (TM) will support the SAP Division within Alamo City Engineering Services (ACES).  Warehouse, logistics, and transportation operation experience is required! You will be gathering requirements from government units while working on multiple simultaneous projects that will consist of deploying software and SAP-based digital solutions. Leveraging your manufacturing, supply chain and technical skills, you will design, develop, test and implement SAP TM, SAP cloud and analytical tools, reports and dashboards.   

Further, this role will be responsible for the following: 

• Participating in solution selection, design, and implementation as part of a project team and overseeing the activities of technical resources to deliver solutions. 
  
• Demonstrating deep knowledge of SAP ERP and other common business system platforms. 
  
• Leveraging practical experience with communicating technical concepts to the business and project teams; 
  
• Participating in a team and performing assessments at the customer site. 
  

JOB DUTIES: 

•  Develop and deliver SAP TM solutions, analytics, dashboards and KPI metrics.  
  
•  Provide analysis and development support for SAP products and demonstrate capabilities and limitations of SAP products including SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, SAP TM,   HANA Data Analytics, and SAP Fiori.  
  
•  Garner deep functional knowledge of data, processes, integration points with ERP systems and industry best practices for warehouse, logistics, and transportation processes. 
  

• Extensive experience is required within warehouse management, logistics, transportation, and manufacturing operations.   
  
• Strong background in legacy manufacturing, supply chain applications, SAP/Non-SAP ERP solutions and reporting tools. 
  
• Extensive knowledge of ERP and SAP TM best practices, business processes and data structures. 
  
• Extensive SAP TM functional experience is required. 
  
• Excellent problem identification, root cause and corrective action to drive resolution.  
  
• Strong organization skills with the ability to effectively meet deadlines.  
  
• Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal.  
  
• Ability to work closely and effectively with all levels of government community.  
  
• Ability to influence change as well as manage rapidly changing technological and business environments. 
  
• Demonstrated passion for being the liaison between the business units, technology and project development teams.  
  
• Ability to work on a highly dynamic team in a fast-paced environment with continuous challenges.  
  
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel (i.e., formulas, formatting, pivot tables, macros, etc.)  
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Project and Visio (process flows). 
  

• Demonstrated capacity to create professional architecture deliverables as support for the project (significant decisions, roadmap, logical/physical viewpoints, etc..). 
  
• Minimum 3 years in Manufacturing/Warehouse/Logistics/Transportation operations roles. 
  
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience as Functional Consultant for a major IT program involving multiple teams and/or projects. 
  
• Experience in developing and utilizing business intelligence reporting and dashboards. 
  
• Experience in S&OP planning cycle to include all aspects of materials management and production planning. 
  
• At least 3 years of experience in SAP TM skills. 
  
• At least 5 years of experience in development/configuration/solutions evaluation/validation and deployment. 
  
• At least 3 years of experience in business process consulting, problem definition, architecture/design/detailing of processes. 
  
• SAP TM design, configuration, testing, and implementation experience - minimum of two full project lifecycle SAP TM implementation. 
  
• Should be familiar with material handling systems and how to integrate them to SAP TM solutions. Strong warehouse, distribution and transportation logistics business process knowledge and experience. 
  
• Must be familiar with transportation and logistics business models, SAP TM and wireless technologies. 
  

• Active government security clearance. 
  
• Experience within Department of Defense (DoD). 
  
• Experience with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). 
  
• BS in Engineering, Business Management, Industrial Engineering or Computer Science. 
  
• Experience in the SAP ERP. 
  
• Experience using SAP Fiori.
