As a Security Engineer at Empatica you will help the team in designing, implementing, and monitoring security measures for the protection of our cloud infrastructure, data, and services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Analyze Empatica core infrastructure and services, seeking for improvements on a continuous basis
• Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs
• Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of cloud systems, networks and information
• Develop best practices and security standards for the organization
• Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement
• Assist fellow employees with cybersecurity needs

Requirements

You are the ideal person for this job if you have:

• Proven work experience as a Security Engineer or similar role
• BSc in Engineering, or any relevant experience
• Experience in building and maintaining security systems
• Detailed technical knowledge of database and cloud security
• Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc
• Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools
• Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
• Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
