The health and well-being of our team, clients, and community is our top priority. We’re closely monitoring COVID-19 developments and following guidance from health authorities and government officials. Perkins & Co’s physical offices are in early stages of reopening; interviews will be held virtually for the foreseeable future.

The long-term work location for this role is flexible; we are open to a fully remote arrangement for candidates who are located in and authorized to work in the U.S. We are not sponsoring visas or hiring internationally at this time.

Some may think a job is just a job, but at Perkins & Co we believe in igniting possibilities by helping our employees develop careers that fulfill their ambitions. We hire great people and give them a great place to work. Our secret to keeping them around is a positive culture, strong community involvement and a dedication to getting better every day.

Business valuation is a growing service that is needed by clients for various reasons (mergers & acquisitions, estate planning, litigation, etc.). At times, clients may seek our assistance more in the forensic accounting side of things where we are utilizing our investigative skills on engagements that result from actual or anticipated disputes or litigation. No matter what the scenario, clients look to us to use our analytical skills and experience to determine the value of their business.

This team is accustomed to fully remote work. Prefer to be in the office? That’s fine, too, and relocation assistance may be available for someone who wants to move to the Portland metro area.

Where do you want to go?

Let’s Get There.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of room for growth. As a Senior Analyst working in the business valuation niche, you will establish the value of businesses for estate and gift planning, mergers & acquisitions, litigation support and financial reporting purposes. Valuation work includes industry research, the use of various research tools (databases, publications, and internet) and some client interaction to perform financial analysis and production of valuation reports with the valuation team.

From day one you will be responsible for inspecting financial records, compiling and analyzing data, researching companies, their industries & competitors. Your ability to generate and modify spreadsheets and models to clearly communicate information through numbers is crucial. In one week, you may spend a day or two sifting through hundreds of documents to find the key information needed for a complex lost profits analysis; you may also spend the rest of the week working through models to assist a client in understanding the various options for transitioning wealth and the legacy of their life’s work. Both strong organization and proactive communication skills will be very important as you move through the engagements and seek guidance from other business valuation team members.

This position requires that you have the ability think critically about all of the possibilities that could impact the client’s business and work in a fast-paced environment as we approach deadlines or court dates. Every client is different from the size, entity type, industry, etc., so the work doesn’t get boring. You will assist in forensic accounting and litigation. If there is a desired interest, you may have the opportunity to testify in court as your career progresses.

Does this sound like the right match for you? If so, please apply to get the conversation started! We will do our best to reply in timely fashion.
