Senior Analyst, Client Financial Management REMOTE, UNITED STATES Evolent Health is looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Client Financial Management team. This person will play a crucial role in enhancing Evolent’s capability to timely and accurately produce financial statements, data and analytics. The responsibilities of the role will cover three broad areas as it relates to our client’s health plan operations: enhancing and automating existing processes and products, developing new processes and reporting packages, and dealing with ad hoc requests and deliverables as is customary for a growing organization. Responsibilities: Manage, improve, and automate the delivery of monthly health plan financial reports, which include premium, claims cost and utilization reports, lag triangles, and IBNR Support our client’s forecasting and budgeting process with subsequent variance analysis Assist in the financial operations for our client health plans Analyze claims data to develop insights and understand trends Coordinate and reconcile invoice and billing data Develop and refine business rules and processes for ensuring accuracy and quality of reports Tackle rapid, ad hoc data and analysis requests from internal and external customers Collaborate with the Actuarial, Client Relationship, IT and internal health plan Operations teams to ensure efficient and timely supply of data, information, reports and insights Qualifications: Required Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business) Experience in a finance / accounting capacity, CPA / accountant background preferred Preferred 1-3 year experience with a health insurance carrier. Knowledge and familiarity with medical, pharmacy and ancillary claims data, IBNR reserves, membership data, client invoicing and billing data Experience with developing detail forecasts and budgets Experience presenting and communicating to key decision-makers Strong technical abilities with advanced data and database manipulation skills, including SQL, Excel, SAS
