The Red Hat Customer Portal team is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will shape the tools and technologies used in our application delivery infrastructure and guide the team toward adopting a sustainable DevOps culture. You'll collaborate within and outside your team to ensure that our software development efforts deliver value to our customers efficiently.

• Empower development teams to deliver software safely and quickly into production
• Create and maintain software build and delivery pipelines
• Capture and report metrics that explain the health of the infrastructure
• Define cultural norms that evolve the DevOps maturity of the team
• Automate manual release and deployment processes working with the development team
• Collaborate with the global development teams to build process and policies

• 5+ years of experience with software packaging and release automation
• 3+ years of experience with configuration management tools like Red Hat Ansible Automation, Puppet, or Chef
• Familiarity with the industry Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings and clear understanding of their benefit for the enterprise
• 3+ years of Linux system administration experience
• Experience with web application security practices and tools like web application firewalls
• Experience with Jenkins and pipeline as code
• Experience with integration of application monitoring and logging tools like New Relic or Splunk

The following are considered a plus:

• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and related infrastructure
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Administrator (RHCA) certifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a technology-related discipline
• Experience contributing to open source projects
