Job Details

The Senior Director, Global Impact Data Strategy will play a key role developing and leading the global strategy for impact data across the Salesforce.org ecosystem, working to help philanthropy and the private sector understand, optimize, and transact social impact. The Senior Director will collaboratively set the vision for the future of social change that looks dramatically different than what we have seen the last 100 years and possess a demonstrated skill set to help bring that future into reality.

You will work across teams to help our global community of stakeholders, including partners and customers, lead and embrace the coming Impact Revolution. You will build a global portfolio that includes Impact Data Strategy, Impact Data Capacity Building, Impact Data Infrastructure, and Impact Data Thought Leadership.

You will develop an impact data capacity building strategy that helps philanthropy and the private sector secure new skills needed and manage programs to train, network, and influence today's and tomorrow's impact data leaders. You will identify opportunities for new impact data solutions that need to get built and ways impact data can be productized. You will work closely with product teams to create a vision that realizes opportunities to build innovative solutions for the sector. This includes infrastructure to connect organizations as well as products that these organizations can use to track, improve, and transact their impact. You will drive strategy to create content; i.e. podcast, books, and videos that ignite the imaginations of leaders in these areas and help shape a brand that can speak to leaders where they are, provide them actionable information, and push an impact data vision of the future.

You will build and work with Impact Data Trailblazers in the community to foster greater collaboration among current and prospective Salesforce.org NGO, EDU, and philanthropic users, tech solution providers, and key stakeholders. You will also help inform an impact data community needs assessment that includes process improvements, capacity building, and more. As a member of the Global Impact Engagement team, you will be expected to both lead work and contribute to our long-term team global impact strategy. The Senior Director, Global Impact Data Strategy, will report to the VP of Global Impact Engagement.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead development of Impact Data Strategy focused on technology for social change portfolio
  • Strengthen impact data thought leadership and relationships
  • Expand and diversify impact data strategy
  • Partner with other Salesforce.org departments to ensure effective and appropriate tech solutions and road map for humanitarian NGOs
  • Partner with other Salesforce.org departments to deliver Impact Data strategy trainings
  • Communicate findings to external audiences via presentations and publications
  • Contribute to the development of broader Salesforce.org Global Impact team strategy
  • Report on the portfolio to internal and external executive audiences

    Experience/Skills Required:
  • Deep executive relationships across the impact data ecosystem
  • Demonstrated understanding for the use of Salesforce.org technology products and solutions among NGO, EDU, and philanthropic institutions
  • Minimum of 8 years of senior leadership experience leading impact data strategy and digital transformation initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience developing high-quality executive presentations
  • Deep commitment to making the world a better place through technology for social change
  • Strong communication skills, especially when sharing unique impact data needs to audiences who may not be familiar
  • Ability to collaborate with others to ensure successful project completion
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline required, graduate degree strongly preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
