The Global Demand Center (GDC) is looking for an experienced IT marketing professional to join us as a Senior Director of Program Marketing in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will lead our global portfolio campaign team and portfolio demand generation strategy. You’ll need to be an experienced IT marketing leader with a proven record across product, program, and digital marketing as well as a solid understand of innovative marketing tech platforms. You’ll work closely with our Business team’s product marketing, field sales, and marketing teams, as well as cross functionally within the Corporate Marketing team to ensure that our global demand generation strategy is aligned with our business and revenue objectives in all segments and regions. As a Senior Director, you should have extensive knowledge of enterprise software platforms and familiarity with the open source community development.

• Develop and evolve our global demand generation strategy and execution model to support the revenue and market share goals for Red Hat's broad software portfolio
• Lead a team of experienced senior marketing professionals
• Collaborate with the Marketing Operations, Marketing Communications, Portfolio Product Marketing, and Digital teams to build an effective end-to-end demand generation strategy aligned with the Sirius Decisions demand framework
• Maximize budget efficiencies of all campaign-directed expenses globally, reducing or eliminating overlap and duplication

• Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field; MBA or master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus
• 10+ years of relevant digital, portfolio, and program marketing experience; significant amount of this experience should include work in both early-stage private company environments as well as in a publicly traded company
• Proven leadership skills in managing by objective
• 10+ years of software industry experience across a broad portfolio of technology areas, including infrastructure software, operating systems, virtualization, cloud platforms, containers, API management, and middleware
• Proven success dealing with complexity at a global level, across multiple channels and offerings in a complex competitive environment
• Demonstrated ability to create outstanding demand generation campaigns; solid understanding of Red Hat's target customers and segments
• Combination of visionary, strategic and pragmatic decision making skills, encompassing both the strategic marketing perspective and direct mentorship of field marketing teams
• Proven record of success in a fast moving, results-oriented, technical environment
• Solid written and verbal communications and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel up to 40% including international travel
