The Sponsorships team is responsible for bringing to life paid partnerships between Salesforce and the world's best brands, taking a page from the best events and organizations in the world across sports, entertainment and media. To be successful the Senior Director, Sponsorships will lead a team that supports the Salesforce partner ecosystem in exploring how they want to participate in Salesforce events. A proven leader with vast experience outside of the technology space, this candidate is ready to apply a new way of thinking to a very traditional events and sponsorships architecture that is transforming.

The Senior Director, Sponsorships is a seasoned sponsorships professional with deep experience developing and delivering on rewarding partnerships. It's obvious to anyone that this candidate has presence for days and can take pressure applied from every direction while speaking confidently and with grace on behalf of the Sponsorships team. It takes a uniquely passionate person to do this job and a match is someone who chooses innovation and values the power of integrated marketing. Ready to support partners at scale and strategic relationships, this candidate is excited to roll up their sleeves and get to work.

Responsibilities:

+ Lead a team of sponsorship executives as coach and mentor with your team proud to learn from you

+ Support partners in their evaluation and purchase of opportunities at Salesforce events and beyond

+ Own internal executive relationships as appropriate to discuss segment output and important partnerships

+ Develop strong relationships with partners and stakeholders as a trusted teammate and collaborator

+ Identify transformation projects and develop an implementation path setting those approved in motion

+ Serve as escalation point for sponsor issues developing an action plan and seeing through to resolution

+ Demonstrate clear command of the Salesforce events portfolio and their benefits to partners

+ Create a pipeline of new prospects contributing to new logos in the partner mix

+ Generate consistent closed revenue exceeding expectations and targets regularly

+ Share fresh ideas often to advance the partnerships product catalog

+ Manage every aspect of daily business in Salesforce without exception

+ Prepare sales presentations and business reviews as needed

Required Skills / Experience:

+ 15+ years of sales experience and non-traditional backgrounds - sports, media, entertainment, agency - desired

+ You have deep experience working on all sides of a partnership from discovery to close to client service

+ You come to the table speaking digital and are an expert at positioning those channels to sponsors

+ You define yourself as a good listener first with a distinct curiosity to learn about partners businesses

+ You are hungry to succeed and will work smart and hard to deliver for partners and for Salesforce

+ You thrive in a fast paced environment with "urgency" and "quality" as your middle names

+ You are a proactive innovator not waiting to be told what to do but instead coming to the table with ideas and a plan

+ You have genuine enthusiasm for Salesforce and a desire to dive in with its incredible partner ecosystem

+ You have extraordinary attention to detail (verbal and written) and thrive in a deadline oriented environment

+ You can solve problems and demands quickly and with confidence but also know when to pause and ask for help

+ You understand the beauty of working as a team, the team dynamic in every respect is a non-negotiable

+ You have a flexible schedule with the ability to travel to events to support as required

+ B.A. or B.S. in a field you think is relevant, it's not what you got your degree in, it's your experience that counts
