OccasionGenius is looking for a key player to join our team as a Senior Django Architect. We are a venture-backed startup looking to transition our initial solution into a scalable Django-based solution. You will be helping to grow our development team as well as providing technical advice on the future growth of our product. 

A Day In The Life:

• Advise a developer team to develop, test, and maintain our core product

• Get your hands dirty and write some features yourself

• Pitch and advocate for product improvements with leadership

• Oversee the health of the entire OccasionGenius tech stack

• Review developer team code 

• Package and support deployment of releases

• Provide support to the business team and customers

• Analyzing, discovering, and resolving technical and application problems

What you’ll need to rock:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience)

• Minimum of four years of experience in professional Django development 

• Experienced in MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL

• Strong verbal presence and excellent written abilities

• Strong desire to learn and grow

• Willingness to challenge the status quo and to work in a fast-moving startup
