Position Overview
The MuleSoft Field Strategy & Analytics team serves as the trusted partner to senior Company leaders providing the analyses, insights, and actionable recommendations they need to optimize activities across our entire cross-functional sales motion and power our rapid growth. Our work maximizes the productivity of our Field organization and our customers’ success.
The Senior Sales Strategy Manager (Americas) will provide our local leadership team with the analyses and recommendations they need to accelerate their business performance. You will dive deep into our KPIs, testing your well-formulated hypotheses with rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify trends, hotspots, and opportunities. Armed with data, you will champion change across field functions, securing buy-in and influencing behaviours at all levels to drive significant and lasting impact. This role will have broad exposure to many aspects of executive-level decision making at a high-growth software company including go-to-market strategy, business planning, sales optimization, and pipeline analysis. You will work with our global team based in San Francisco and build a team to enhance the support you provide to the region over time.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated relentless curiosity and sound business judgment. You are able to extract insights from multiple data sources and present a strong, well-grounded point of view in dynamic environments. You are a self-starter; confident in your own skills and abilities and also able to rally both formal and informal teams to accomplish big things quickly. You are passionate about trading ideas with a variety of highly intelligent and motivated personalities.
Position deliverables may include
Market & competitive analyses
Analyzing sales funnel performance
Business planning, sales pipeline analysis, and interpretation of key performance metrics to provide context and background for field leadership
Data analysis and modeling to support executive decision making
Assist in troubleshooting operational issues as they surface and propose changes to systems/processes to fix root causes
Create executive-ready presentations leveraging analytics and working with business partners for content
Required Skills and Experience
6+ years of total work experience in consulting, investment banking, or a similar role
Exceptional problem solving skills: demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, apply logical reasoning, perform quantitative analysis, and develop and implement solutions
Ability to execute quickly with high attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Self-starter with high degree of motivation to understand root causes
Ability to adjust on the fly to new demands; sense of urgency and prioritization
Track record of converting ideas to impact
Comfort communicating with senior business leaders (written and oral), ability to win over strong personalities, and reconcile competing points of view
Advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets modeling capabilities; experience in Tableau and SQL a plus
Bachelor’s degree required (mathematics, economics, accounting, business, or statistics preferred); MBA a plus
Experience with subscription software business models a plus
