Red Hat’s Marketing team is looking for a Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team for Germany and Austria in Frankfurt, Berlin, or Munich, Germany. You’ll work as part of an open source company, which is about collaboration and curiosity. In this role, you will report to the Head of Marketing for Germany and Austria. You’ll create and lead integrated marketing programs and campaigns, some of which will be centrally provided, targeting and nurturing existing and prospective direct customers. Through these programs and campaigns, you will lead brand awareness and demand generation activities, including digital and social media channels, as well as traditional channels like events, trade shows, advertisements, and PR in cooperation with the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and Global Marketing teams. As a Marketing Manager, you will directly impact the achievement of our exponential business growth by teaming up with other marketing team members and sales colleagues.


  • Oversee all elements of marketing, including campaign planning, development, and implementation, specifically in digital marketing, event management, and PR
  • Manage target-based lead generation through marketing campaigns and tactics, including upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Launch and deploy end-to-end promotional and life cycle-based communication programs reaching multiple customer and buyer segments across all forms of digital media, including email, social, mobile, and web
  • Analyze metrics and reports to define effectiveness of program activities
  • Manage campaign and supporting budgets, including measuring the ROI to ensure the best use of the Marketing team's budget
  • Lead the in-market implementation of direct and indirect programs and campaigns launched through corporate marketing and other teams
  • Engage with the Sales team to communicate and optimize the impact of regional marketing activities on direct and indirect sales activities to maximize the marketing contribution to and impact on the business
  • Serve as a business partner to the German Sales team
  • Develop, carry out, and measure innovative demand creation programs across the buying cycle
  • Identify market segments and target roles that will have the highest impact

  • 8+ years of experience in a variety of marketing areas within the IT sector
  • Extensive familiarity with market data analysis and marketing measurement tools
  • Solid focus on digital marketing with good knowledge of marketing automation tools like Eloqua
  • Solid project management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to work in a team and maintain focus on customers
  • Ability to think strategically and align multiple stakeholder groups
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a relevant field is a plus
