We are on a mission to elevate the live event experience for millions of fans around the world, and we are looking for a talented and passionate team member to join us on our journey. The current model of ticketing and live event management has seen little change for years, especially for the venues and promoters who manage these systems for fans. Together, we will build a new operating system for live events that brings more people in, gets them closer to the action, and delivers personalized, memorable experiences.

To make this vision a reality, we are looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer who is passionate about building from scratch, testing out new ideas, and creating exciting experiences that capture the attention of users.

Summary

We're early here at The Working Name! We're building a brand new product from the ground up, and we’re looking for entrepreneurial and passionate people to join us. To start, we have to build the foundation of our B2B product which will allow venues, teams, promoters, and labels to create breathtaking, customized experiences for their fans. As our first Product designer, you’ll be responsible for the overall experience quality for a set of products and workflows. You’ll work alongside product managers and engineering teams to explore, build, and launch your ideas.

Our Product and Design team has a strong voice in product strategy and works closely with engineers and product managers to define the future of live event experiences. You’ll play a pivotal role in the design of our product, and we want you to experiment, move fast, fail quickly, and apply new learnings as you try new ideas.

What you’ll do

  • Lead research and product design for a B2B product, establishing clear definitions of quality to enable your team to ship exceptional user experience.
  • Develop the quantitative research function empowering teams with rich, actionable customer insights and data.
  • Work closely with our Product Manager to design and implement qualitative user, market, and competitive research
  • Influence or inform future product roadmaps and opportunities for investment
  • Partner with our product team to create initial low-fi wireframes
  • Take ownership of producing higher-fi wireframes for the B2B prototype
  • Encourage a diversity of perspectives inspiring an inclusive product experience
  • Develop and ship with speed and consistency. We have immediate needs to deliver on our product roadmap today while setting the vision for tomorrow.

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of experience in a multidisciplinary design environment
  • Extensive knowledge of the end-to-end iterative product design process, including how to develop and use personas, job stories, journey mapping, content modeling, wireframing and prototyping, user testing, and high fidelity visuals
  • Experience leading highly complex product opportunities/challenges i.e. B2B products with many customer workflows
  • A deep empathy for the user
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills; you have the ability to help your team and stakeholders understand the “why” behind your design rationale
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a large-scale B2B SaaS organization
  • Exposure to customizable digital experience platforms
  • Experience with Sketch, Figma, InVision, Adobe Suite or other design tools
  • Comfortability working on small teams with a lot of autonomy

Attributes that will make you successful on our team:

  • A strong desire to learn. You are curious and willing to dive deep to become a subject matter expert in our domain.
  • Tenacity. You enjoy working on challenges that others can’t or don’t want to tackle and you aren’t afraid of failing fast in order to find better solutions.
  • Passion. You love using your technical skills to build products that solve real problems. You hold yourself to a high standard and help to elevate others as well.
  • Empathy. You thrive in an environment where everyone can truly be themselves. You understand that our differing life experiences influence who we are and how we show up, and these diverse perspectives enrich both our team and our product.
  • Customer-centric mindset. You can understand the problem to be solved and who we are solving it for.

Benefits

  • Remote first
  • Competitive salary and equity (recalibrated quarterly to ensure alignment with market)
  • Flex PTO policy
  • 401k
  • Generous medical, dental and vision plans
  • 16 weeks paid parental leave for primary and secondary caregivers
  • $3,500 reimbursement for work-from-home tech setup

We especially encourage members of traditionally underrepresented communities to apply, including women, nonbinary folx, people of color, members of the LGBTQ community, veterans, and people with disabilities. We’re committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone can bring their all and thrive, and we value the diversity brought by different life experiences.
