Vivint is seeking a Product Manager for Connectivity you will be responsible for our solutions to ensure consumers have the best smart home experience. As part of the Vivint product management team, you will be responsible for defining, driving and shipping Smart Home services and experiences for Vivint customers. The Product Manager drives complex projects from idea to concept and prototyping through development and delivery. The successful candidate must be able to find the intersection of consumer needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives, and then lead a cross-functional team to deliver against the opportunity. The successful candidate will create detailed product requirements and work closely with Design, Engineering, QA and stakeholder teams to build and deliver the product. You will partner with stakeholders to gather product feedback, prioritize work and ensure alignment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Define the product vision and roadmap working with a cross-functional team. Write clear and concise user stories and requirements, prioritizing development items to align with the product roadmap. Manage releases to ensure delivery, coordinating milestones across teams. Work closely with cross-functional teams of designers, engineers, and QA to ensure delivery against product roadmap. Build and maintain relationships across organizations, with teams, and individuals. Monitor product performance and proactively identify opportunities for product improvements. Identify opportunities for usability testing and drive execution, measuring and report results. Identify risks, issues, and problems and escalate as appropriate, proposing mitigation plans to overcome obstacles. Partner with the GTM team to prepare operations, marketing, sales, supply chain, and support product channels for launch. Pursue product and industry knowledge, identify trends and opportunities, and become a subject matter expert on designated products. Own and manage partner relationships for specific engagements. REQUIRED SKILLS: Lead by influence. Effective problem solving and analytical skills. Knowledge of wi-fi, z-wave and/or cellular connectivity stack highly desired Strong meeting facilitation and presentation. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage priorities, including multiple products. Proven ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Ability to clearly communicate across levels of the organization and departments in writing, orally and interpersonally. High attention to detail including proven ability to document requirements and develop cross team release plans. Decisive, and able to eloquently defend your decisions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 4+ years of relevant work experience in consumer electronics, gaming or software products. Conversant in the technical aspects of building software products (i.e. technical information, techniques, and architectures). Show deep commitment to and empathy for the consumer. Works well with others to support shared goals. Open minded and positive attitude. Proactive, solutions-orientation with a history of solving unique, complex problems that have a broad, inter-connected impact on the business. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is a way of life. Experience with agile development methodologies. BA/BS, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Product Design, Business or a related field but not required.
