Red Hat Quality Engineering (QE) Platform team is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our local team in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will be responsible for application streams delivered using Modularity, which is a new feature both in Fedora and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). You’ll serve as a new Modularity QE lead, helping the Host and Platform cross-functional team in high quality modular release efforts for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).


  • Serve as a quality engineering lead for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Modularity throughout the organization
  • Design, develop, and maintain Modularity test plans and test suites
  • Identify, triage, report, and verify bugs related to Modularity
  • Deliver Host and Platform packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in high quality and timely manner
  • Review and challenge quality of related software architectures, processes, and policies
  • Cooperate closely with multiple product, community, and devops teams
  • Overview continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) infrastructure to support Modularity as needed
  • Provide guidance related to testing modular content to other teams

  • Advanced Linux administration and scripting skills (Bash, Python)
  • Linux package management experience; understanding of related concepts
  • Ability to understand and challenge complex technical solutions
  • Test planning, management, and automation skills
  • Solid communication and leadership skills
  • Intermediate written and verbal language skills in English
  • Ability to learn and act fast

The following are considered a plus:

  • Experience with Linux virtualization and container technology
  • Experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation
  • Active in the Fedora community
  • Project management skills
  • International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) certification
