About BPTN
Black Professionals in Tech Network (BPTN) is the largest Black professional tech network in North America. We bridge the “network gap" in the tech industry by providing Black tech and business professionals with access to senior executive sponsorship, skill-building, and a strong peer network to support professional growth and advancement. BPTN introduces partner companies to a network of Black tech talent to help them recruit, hire, and create a culture that will retain Black professionals.
 
Position Description
As a Senior Recruiter, you will be working intimately with BPTN Corporate members to help find the perfect fit for their open roles by leveraging the Black Tech Talent in our network. You will be responsible for sourcing ideal matches from the network and beyond. You will pitch partner opportunities to candidates and deliver exceptional candidate journeys all while organically growing the member base with Black Tech Talent.
 
The opportunity
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Manage the full-cycle recruitment for various technology roles including; sourcing, screening and interviewing applicable tech candidates 
Develop and grow a focused candidate database while maintaining top tier results and meeting targets
Communicate and build trusting relationships with corporate partners to get a clear view of their technical hiring needs and organizational goals
Leverage BPTNs deep understanding of our partner companies from a diversity, equity and inclusion perspective to drive recruitment of top Black Tech Talent
Identify prospective BPTN candidates using a variety of channels, systems and techniques; Database, Slack, LinkedIn and match to suitable opportunities
Lead confidential screenings for each shortlisted candidates and present shortlisted candidate profiles to corporate partners
Research, and source suitable candidate leads, consistently increasing the BPTN pipeline
Advise corporate partners on best recruiting practices as it relates to diversity and specifically for Black Tech Talent
Work closely with the BPTN sales, fulfilment and marketing teams to improve the member and corporate partner experience
 
Skill Requirements
You are a talented, creative and determined Technology Recruiter who loves talking tech. You thrive in challenging situations, experimenting with tactics, and leveraging various resources. A storyteller who can captivate audiences and keep them engaged, you are a driven executor of well-thought-out innovative strategies and deeply passionate about Recruiting and people landscape.
We're looking for someone who has:
 
3+ years Technical Recruiting experience with full-lifecycle recruiting in-house and/or with an agency 
Understanding technical roles including: Full Stack Developers, DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer, UX Designers, Machine Learning and Ai 
Strong experience or specialization in recruiting Technology Professionals (3+ years of experience)
Source, select, sell and close amazing technical talent.
A good network across the tech community.
Strong business/Startup acumen and knowledge of the tech industry i.e can understand and communicate in Tech Speak
Has experience in a dynamic hyper growth environment coupled with the ability to adapt on the fly and address concerns across the business as they arise
Has a genuine passion for learning about the motivations of others and what drives them in their career
Equal parts strategic thinker and hands-on builder
You can foster healthy relationships and manage stakeholder expectations, communicating effectively across teams
