Senior Software Development Engineer Eugene United States of America – Home Based Full time 310217 Job Title Senior Software Development Engineer Job Description In this role, you have the opportunity to: Join Philips as an innovative Software Engineer developing premier Neuro Mapping in the world. We currently focus on a strong ability to integrate anatomical/structural mapping of the brain (from MR, CT, PET) with electrical brain imaging (EEG). This allows Philips to build computational algorithms based on imaging + dense array EEG data to guide interventions & improve outcomes. Your responsibilities include (but not limited to): Contribute to the implementation and testing of the Neuro existing HD EEG system portfolio and new Research/scientific solutions for multiple platforms and product releases Deliver software components using object-oriented C++ & Obj-C development tools, that are fully documented and tested to the Neuro R&D design control standards Critically analyze defect complaints to fully understand the failure root-cause, develop robust fixes and provide a documented trail of the solution Translate user requirements into innovative solutions using the latest technology Write clear specifications, create detailed technical designs, and implement creative software solutions Participate in design and code reviews for the team deliverables Participate in scrum team activities, effort estimation, project planning, and daily standups Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO and other relevant regulations Contribute to the on-going improvement of product development processes & tools through the proactive review of SOPs and build/test frameworks You are a part of An opportunity to work with Philips Neuro, an emerging business unit that is focused on Better Science, Better Care. This group will drive the thought leadership for integration of AI and Neuroscience to develop new ways to measure/monitor and treat. It brings world-class technologies in High-Density EEG, and multimodal analysis with Medical Imaging modalities (i.e., MRI/CT) and delivers solutions that will have a direct impact on patient care. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience BS, MS, or Ph.D in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent Minimum of 7+ years of medical device or consumer electronic design and development experience. Proficient at software design, debugging / troubleshooting, etc. Additional knowledge in at least two of the following languages: C, C++, Objective-C, Xcode, Mac for UI product software development Strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges Work closely with product managers, QA, V&V and others to ensure a best-in-class product Ability to work as a team leader and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced changing environment Strong problem solver with action orientation Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization Self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skill An experienced developer who can architect, design, code, and test complex solutions Fluent knowledge Mac-based products or experience in a multi-platform environment, is a plus US work authorization is a precondition of employment.
