Salesforce Commerce Cloud is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to join our newly formed API middleware team. You will be part of a team who drives the transition to a service oriented architecture within Salesforce Commerce Cloud. Together we build and support an API first development approach based on a Rest APIs, using state of the art technologies like OpenAPI, RAML, Docker, Kubernetes and running on public cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tools on Rest API full life cycle using OpenAPI and RAML

• Support our commitment to continuous integration, unit tests, and functional automation

• Work with the team in definition of sub-component requirements and accurately forecast project effort

• Provide attention to detail and a commitment to deliver high-quality, stable features

• Work seamlessly as part of a multi-site, multi-cultural, development and testing team

• Continually evangelise Scrum and an Agile development processes

• Be self-motivated; driven to achieve and exceed committed milestones

• Display strong collaboration skills, including the ability to mentor and be mentored

• Desire to learn and work independently in a growing, fast-paced environment of innovation

Required Skills:

• Strong working knowledge of web application development in Java

• Prior experience developing APIs or REST services

• Experience with public cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or GCP

• Experience with CI/CD tool chains

• Working knowledge with Linux systems

• Working knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with Scrum in an Agile Development environment

• Ability to share and collaborate with peers both verbally and writing in English

• Experience with MuleSoft and Node.js is a plus

Education & Experience

• 5+ years of software development experience

• BS or MS degree in Computer science or equivalent

• At least 3 years professional Java development experience
