The Red Hat OpenShift Service Delivery team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will work as part of a team that hosts, develops, and manages the Red Hat OpenShift project on Microsoft Azure cloud, which is a new partnership between Microsoft and Red Hat that you can become a part of, helping to define how it moves forward. As a key member of our team, you will focus on the standardization of containers, which will include working around the Red Hat Container Catalog, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift environments. You’ll be part developer and part site reliability engineer, working in a fast-paced environment with the goal of making our offerings for the end users and customers more effective with every release. You'll be contributing code to one of Red Hat's main initiatives.

• Help determine the technical details of how to implement key features and functionality on the Microsoft Azure platform and then code those features
• Partner with engineers at Microsoft to review code, build features, and implement solutions
• Work closely with engineers on Red Hat OpenShift to become a contributor to both the upstream and downstream Red Hat OpenShift projects to deliver functionality
• Cooperate with multiple teams within Red Hat and with the open source community
• Partner with the Support team to troubleshoot deep technical issues
• Look for opportunities to improve how we deliver a hosted offering to our customers

• Solid experience writing code for B2B organizations, ideally using Go, Python, or C
• Experience with public cloud functionality in Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), etc.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, or other container tools
• Knowledge of how to ensure that a hosted service is secure and stable, including establishing processes around that

The following are considered a plus:

• Experience with Linux operating system
• Experience gained in a site reliability engineering position for a cloud-based company
• Knowledge of Prometheus
