After closing a £3.5M round of investment led by LEGO, we are growing our engineering team to build world-class educational tools for teachers and their students, around the world.
Our mission is to make the world happier and smarter. We are developing digital products that ensure that every learner has access to great teaching and learning, personalised to their ability and needs. Eedi already reaches millions of teachers and their learners in over 14,500 schools worldwide.
# Responsibilities
We're a small team working on big problems. Our product is already used by thousands of teachers and students and having a real impact on their teaching, in 2019 alone we saw:
* 280k assignments set by teachers using Eedi
* 15 million questions answered by student
* 6 million student misconceptions identified
But this is just the start, we have big plans. We're looking for someone to work within the product development team to develop and maintain the current platform as well as create new features. You'll have a lot of say in how these features get implemented.
You'll work in an agile (small A) environment and deploy code regularly. As we're a small team, you'll need to be someone who is willing & happy to get involved in lots of different areas.
We like data (our business is based on it!) so we're looking for a person who's analytical and driven by the numbers rather than their own intuition.
We like to work with people who are self-motivated, entrepreneurial and down to earth.

# Requirements
* 5+ years experience in backend, or full-stack engineering.
* Work experience, open-source code, or coursework in ASP.NET / .NET Core / C#.
* SQL experience (particularly SQL Server / SSMS)
* Modern JavaScript framework experience (React, Angular or similar)
* Experience with web development best practices such as A/B testing, continuous integration
**Nice to haves:**
* .NET Core 2.2+ / Entity Framework 6 / EF Core experience
* Azure, AWS, Firebase or Google Cloud hosting experience
* TDD or BDD experience
* Integration / Unit testing experience
* Node.js
* Docker / Kubernetes
* Microservices / Event driven architecture
* Server management / DevOps
