**The Opportunity**
We are looking for a Software Engineer to run our API efforts, and bring our external API to the next level both on the feature side but also making it easy to integrate to and work with. You'll help lunch and support our self-serve API used by partners partners who offer bill pay through their own platform. We're looking to double down on that business opportunity later this year and need an engineer to take the lead. If you're great at designing APIs and building systems for other engineers, you'll like this role. You know that an API is only as good as its documentation and you are passionate about building excellent reference docs. You'll have ownership over your projects, and help make decisions around design and execution. We're looking for someone with strong competencies within data structures, algorithms and software design.

You'll be familiar with all parts of our stack from end to end, and will drive positive change to Roger's engineering culture, processes and technology.

The engineering team is characterized by a high degree of support internally. We help each other out and pitch in when problems arise as well as give each other feedback to grow. Our top priority is to build the world's best financial automation platforms, while keeping our users safe and compliant. Scalability, reliability and robustness are keywords we live by but we also get excited about building out feature MVPs quickly to keep our innovative reputation with customers and partners alive and well at all times.

**The Stack**
Roger's backend is built on .NET with C#. We love the simplicity, speed and structure of C#, combined with the built-in security and robustness it offers developers. On the front-end we work in React and React Native, enabling us to build reliable web experiences that can handle high usage volumes.
Additionally, we make extensive use of Lamda (integrations only), AWS, Git, Bugsnag, Heroku and other great tools to keep our development processes running smoothly.
