The Red Hat Identity Management Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer with C programming language experience to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will focus on the development and maintenance of Samba package in Fedora and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) that delivers a Windows interoperability suite of programs for Linux and Unix and enables storage, related directly or via identity management to use cases. You'll use your programming skills, mainly in the C language and occasionally in Python and shell scripting, to maintain Samba suite in Fedora and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), to add new functionality and bug fixes, or to improve test coverage of Samba. You’ll be expected to maintain an active communication with Samba upstream project and help promote a healthy relationship between Red Hat and Samba community. As a Software Engineer, you will start learning Samba by addressing and taking care of the community or customer issues, continually taking ownership of bigger feature requests or integrations with other projects like the System Security Services Daemon (SSSD) or FreeIPA.
