Job Description

Engineering Leads at Itential are members of our Delivery organization, and are responsible for developing customer-specific software within our proprietary automation platform. You will work with multiple software engineers and project managers to successfully complete customer-defined automation solutions. You will use your JavaScript and full-stack development skills to implement our software platform and develop applications that automate network operations. You are great at solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, designing, and implementing solutions to complex technical issues. Most importantly, you are a software developer with MERN-stack skills that wants a challenging environment to continue developing your skills!

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design and develop custom applications as a leader of an Agile team
• Deliver excellent network automation solutions to customer teams
• Enable customer resources to use and administer the developed solutions
• Develop APIs and adapters to ensure our system interacts with existing customer systems
• Understand customer requirements and how they translate to functionality
• Drive the creation of User Stories and development tasks with Jira
• Maintain constant contact with the Itential Project Manager and Account Executive on status of the team’s technical development tasks
• Lead code reviews for your development team and maintain coding standards
• Ensure that your team’s code is tested, robust, and secure
• Mentor junior developers and members of your team

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years experience as a software developer in an enterprise environment
• 2+ years experience using technologies and frameworks in the MEAN/MERN stack
• 2+ years experience consuming and creating APIs
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies
• Comfortable using Linux/*nix CLI

Salary: $90,000 – $120,000/year, depending upon experience

Location: Anywhere in the US (remote, work from home)
