The Remote Integration Operations Engineer (SIOE) reports to the Integration Team Manager and serves as the bridge between the Customer Care Department and the Integration Development Team.  The SIOE provides second-tier technical production support for installed custom and standard interfaces, assisting Customer Care staff by trouble-shooting reported errors and performance problems to determine whether the issue is a code defect, configuration issue, data issue, or customer environment issue. Additionally, the SIOE is responsible for standard interface deployments and configuration, as well as IJIS Broker rehosting/migration efforts at customer sites.

Responsibilities

·        Trouble-shoot and maintain custom and production interfaces in production environments.

·        Deploy and perform rehosting tasks for new and existing interfaces.

·        Collaborate with Development Team and third-party vendor staff to perform end-to-end testing of new interfaces and functionality.

·        Document problems, steps, and resolutions to build a knowledgebase of  trouble-shooting practices to assist Customer Care in supporting interfaces in production environments.

·        Collaborate with System Architect and Development Team members to produce specification document artifacts, including data mapping sheets and system-to-system workflows.

·        Other interface development activities as needed.

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field with 5 + years of experience working with integrated, enterprise applications, information systems, multi-vendor database, and network solutions.  Broad and deep technical experience is highly desirable.

·       Experience with design, development and implementation of web services APIs including SOAP and REST integration APIs.

·       Strong competency working with XML, XSD and XSL.

·       Experience with application maintenance, ever greening, and re-platforming efforts.

·       Familiarity with J2EE, .NET, and Web Frameworks and related technologies (i.e. application servers/containers.

·       Strong competency in structured query language (SQL) including PLSQL (Oracle) and TSQL (SQLServer).

·        Experience with network, protocol, and application security including Firewall/VPN/ACL, Proxy/Reverse Proxy, SSL/HTTPS, WS-Security and BasicAuth, Digital Certificates and encryption.

·       Strong competency working with XML, XSD and XSL.

·       Well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Preferences

·       Strong understanding of Open Standards including DMTF, IETF, NIST, and OASIS.

·       Knowledge of national information exchange standards including GJXDM, NIEM, ECF, XBRL, HL7, Nlets, CANDLE, and NCIC.

·       Experience in database design and administration.

·       Familiarity with CJIS security policy.

No C2C, contract or sponsorship is available for this position. Must be authorized to work in the US without expiration.  This is a Remote opportunity.   Pay for this position will be in the 110 - 120k range plus bonus potential and full benefits.
