The Red Hat Channel Solutions Architecture team is looking for a Solutions Architect to join us in the Central U.S. region. In this position, you will provide the first major experience our customers have with Red Hat, creating possibilities, solving problems, and establishing working relationships. You'll discover and analyze our customers' business and technical needs, and collaborate with the Sales and Technical Delivery teams to help customers invest wisely in the best solutions that will give their systems maximum flexibility, allowing them to run faster and more efficiently. You’ll need to have a balance of serious technical expertise, passion for open source, and of thorough understanding of business processes and IT problems faced at the enterprise level. As a Solutions Architect, you'll also need to have great communication and people skills, as you will present features and benefits of our offerings to rooms full of curious engineers and make solid business cases in closed-door meetings with C-level executives. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

• Provide technical support as part of strategic independent software vendor (ISV) partner recruiting efforts
• Manage technical relationships with key ISV and business partners
• Work with ISV partners to define the best integration approach for Red Hat Middleware offerings; help communicate this integration approach to software integrator partners
• Provide Red Hat Middleware technical product roadmap information to key ISV partners
• Provide training curriculum to key ISV partners for continuing education in Red Hat Middleware in alignment with ISV partners' solutions

• 2+ years of experience working with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• 2+ years of experience with cloud architectures and deployment, including private, public, and hybrid cloud
• 2+ years of experience deploying applications in cloud architectures, including private, public, and hybrid cloud
• 3+ years of enterprise Java development experience
• Standard and enterprise Java programming skills
• Experience as a sales engineer, consultant, IT architect, or an equivalent role with enterprise accounts
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a proven record of developing relationships at engineering and executive levels
• Ability to interpret customer business and technical needs
• Willingness to work as part of a geographically distributed team
• Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about open source technologies and community-based development
• Great interpersonal skills; ability to comfortably work with product management and development teams of ISV partners
