The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Specialist Solutions Architect to join us in Bangkok, Thailand. In this role, you will be the catalyst creating possibilities, solving problems, and establishing working relationships with customers. You'll help our customers invest wisely in an infrastructure that gives them maximum flexibility in the future, allowing them to run faster and more efficiently. You'll need a good a balance of serious technical expertise, passion for open source, thorough understanding of business processes, and the ability to identify and create business solutions across multiple technology platforms at the enterprise level. As a Specialist Solutions Architect, you will also need excellent communication and people skills because you'll be a crucial part of the first major experience our customers have with Red Hat.

  • Provide presales technical support for the development and implementation of complex solutions
  • Use your extensive knowledge of our offerings and your technical expertise to prepare detailed specifications of our offerings, deliver presentations, and demonstrate our offerings to sales associates and customers
  • Present complex solutions to potential customers and design value-driven architectures, explaining the application and ROI of Red Hat's solutions
  • Deliver compelling recommendations that result in the closing of new sales
  • Gain deep understanding of customer business and IT environments and collaborate with sales teams to assess potential application of Red Hat's solutions
  • Communicate value, progress, and status of sales opportunities to all stakeholders; share knowledge and findings to allow team members to learn from your experience

  • 1+ years of experience as a sales engineer building or implementing Linux or Unix software solutions
  • Good knowledge of Unix or Linux operating systems, preferably of Red Hat's platform solutions including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Satellite, and other related technologies
  • Knowledge of open source cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions like Red Hat OpenStack Platform or KVM
  • Familiarity with technologies like clustering, directory services, and identity management
  • Comfortable presenting and having technical discussions with customers
  • Ability to provide direct demonstrations of our offerings and proofs of concepts
  • Experience with different programming languages; knowledge of Python, Perl, Ruby, or Java is a plus
