ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a firm with an innovative Product, focused at Learning & Talent Development, with thousands of clients all over the world, is looking for s SW Development Manager to join their Product Development Team. Worplace location: Thessaloniki (with remote options) or 100% Remote.

 

As the Software Development Manager, you’ll manage all the activities of the software development group; set attainable goals to team members in order for the project to be finished on time; provide guidance to team members to encourage work productivity; make sure the timeline is followed by the software development group; manage multiple projects at once; ensure appropriate procedures and processes are followed when it comes to software development; represent the software department in meetings; participate in design control activities; monitor, evaluate and ensure the completion of tasks and projects; analyze software requirements; implement design plans, monitor status of developing software; review product requirements and specifications; participate in other areas of the software development process; and provide technical support to other company personnel

 

Responsibilities

You will both lead your team and execute across these activities:

  • Support, mentor, and motivate your team
  • Lead large-scope development projects with complex rollouts
  • Build and execute productivity plans through forecast reviews, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Leaders to load balance
  • Manage delivery promises with your team in the context of a larger central technology division
  • Act as the liaison between your business unit product teams and all other business teams (e.g., product strategy, marketing, customer success, implementation managers, customer support) to develop plans to meet business objectives
  • Manage software development within the context of the full software development lifecycle, including software requirements, design, development, debug, and test;
  • Describe complex and diverse software development topics effectively.
  • Provide technical oversight to team members. This will include leading design reviews, team meetings and program/customer meetings as needed.
  • Prepare and manage man-power loading across the period of performance.
  • Work with program, product, and functional management to align staffing needs with appropriation of assignments.
  • Support the professional development of team members and ensure senior technical personnel knowledge share to more junior personnel.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field).
  • 3+ years’ experience managing software development teams.
  • Proven ability to translate technical jargon into clear guidance for business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team and ability to work effectively in a dynamic technical environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work to a schedule and meet deliverable dates.
  • Proven expert in the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Experienced establishing and working in an Agile framework.
  • Able to operationally organize all aspects of the software development lifecycle to include requirements definition and design, use case development, software development, testing, and maintenance.
  • Ensure documentation standards for software changes and ensures software standards are met.
