The Red Hat System Operations team is looking for a Senior System Administrator to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will work as part of a larger global team. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to develop, deliver, and maintain infrastructure and services, including Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), that lead to the creation of Red Hat's innovative open source software. You'll assist product development teams in becoming more efficient at each available opportunity. As a Senior System Administrator, you will work closely with engineering teams to help ensure that Red Hat's solutions reach market in a timely fashion at an outstanding level of quality. You'll need to use your passion and expertise in helping Red Hat continue to create high-quality open source software.

• Maintain data center environmental, disaster recovery, monitoring, and alerting systems
• Monitor systems and offerings on a daily basis to ensure that systems are performing as expected
• Investigate, communicate, and troubleshoot escalated issues coming from the users
• Collaborate with team members to determine the root cause of problems and the best course of action to resolve these problems
• Document internal processes and procedures related to system administration

• Experience working in system administration
• Solid experience with Unix or Linux operating systems; Linux certifications are a plus
• Experience with cloud computing; familiarity with Red Hat OpenStack Platform or Red Hat OpenShift is a plus
• Experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation and automated system and application deployment
• Knowledge of Git, GitHub, and GitLab and experience with other version-control systems
• Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required
• Ability to effectively prioritize and carry out tasks with alignment to actual demands
• Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
