We need an insightful, collaborative, and persuasive Talent/Recruiting Partner to join our growing People team. You will play a vital role in the company’s growth and success by understanding the hiring needs of teams throughout the company and expertly matching the best candidates to the roles.

About Uncapped 👫

Founded in 2019, Uncapped is the fastest, most affordable way for growing online businesses to fund marketing and inventory. The company was born out of frustration with the limited financing options available for UK and European entrepreneurs to finance growth.

Uncapped provides business advances of between £10k and £5m without credit checks, personal guarantees, warrants, equity, or compounding interest -- and makes money by charging a low flat fee that is paid back from future sales revenue.

Uncapped has raised $120 million from investors including Lakestar, Mouro Capital, Global Founders Capital, White Star Capital, Seedcamp, and All Iron Ventures.

What you will do ✍️

The Talent/Recruiting Partner will focus on direct recruiting, insightful networking, leveraging external targeted research, and promoting internal referrals. By building effective, collaborative relationships with internal hiring teams and stakeholders, you will best understand the work behind the job descriptions and what makes each team tick.

You will recruit according to our values. We are just getting started as a company, and this is great time for a recruiter to influence how we move forward. You will also

  • Identify and recruit the highest-calibre candidates for each role
  • Ensure each candidate receives an outstanding candidate experience
  • Drive full life cycle recruiting: from sourcing, to ensuring a smooth interview process, to closing finalists
  • Help shape the talent acquisition strategy and ensure the process is fair, accurate, and efficient
  • Manage the ATS (Workable)


Who you are 👀

Above all, you are an excellent recruiter with a passion for matching the right person with the right role. You are a problem-solver who has contributed materially to an emerging technology company by recruiting the right candidates to support periods of high growth -- and then lived with these results over time. We are looking for someone with

  • Previous start-up experience (essential) and the ability to maintain uncompromising hiring standards. The right person will have a strong sense of purpose and excellent customer service skills.
  • The curiosity and capability to learn what drives a candidate; how this aligns with the needs of the role; how to speak to these drivers based on the Uncapped opportunity and our value proposition in the marketplace; and how to close the candidates we want to hire.
  • The ability to build relationships with hiring teams and drive decisions. This requires practical intelligence, active listening, organization, accountability, persuasion, complete comfort with asking others to fill-in knowledge gaps, flexibility, and a permeating positive attitude.
  • The ability to make things happen. Strong personal drive, integrity, good humour, and honesty.
