Instana is looking for an experienced technologist to lead our recommendation and personalization system - the machine behind our robot Stan, as technical product manager. You’ll join the team responsible for predicting, identifying and providing context to application performance and operational issues, learning from user input, and recommending action to help developers and operators keep their systems up and running in a world of constant change.As a part of a small team at a quickly growing startup, the role requires the ability to develop not just vision and strategy, but to define, execute and deliver product.What you will work on:Develop and steward the product vision, strategy and roadmap for our recommendation and personalization systemLead entire product lifecycle, from speaking with customers, writing requirements, to prioritizing backlogs and collaborating with engineering and product designExperiment with clear hypotheses & iterate quickly; stay intently focused on impact and the humans relying on usWhat we’re looking for:Large-scale experience in applied machine learning and recommendation systems with sophisticated models and complex semanticsExperience in building distributed systems, and with the performance challenges they presentAbility to identify and drive the big bets that will make the differencePassion to translate customer needs into solutions along with your teamStrong communication skillsWhat we offer:A driven and global team that works together to deliver great productFast-paced and high growth startup environmentAutonomy to do great thingsLocationWe're currently able to hire in: Austria, France, Germany, Netherlands, Serbia, Spain, and the UK.You have the option of working remotely, or if you prefer to work from an office you're welcome to join us in Düsseldorf, Munich, Novi Sad, or Austin.Sound interesting?
