Role: VP, Product Management, Salesforce AppExchange
The AppExchange is the hub of the Salesforce ecosystem and the world's leading online marketplace for enterprise cloud applications. Thousands of Salesforce ISV partners and tens of thousands of Salesforce customers depend on the AppExchange. AppExchange is where our trusted platform technologies meet the most creative entrepreneurs and the passion of our global community of Trailblazers to spark an explosion of innovation in customer experience, business process and intelligent enterprise apps.
The AppExchange is seeking a VP of Product Management - a Trailblazer with a proven track record of delivering high-quality products and delightful user experiences in the enterprise software, B2B commerce, or e-commerce industries.
As VP of Product Management, you will drive the strategy, roadmap and the product plan for the AppExchange marketplace. You will take primary responsibility for the partner and customer functionality of the marketplace and work with colleagues in engineering, design, user experience, program management and other stakeholders to align on a vision and execute on an iterative approach to delivery. You will lead and grow a team of product managers to realize your vision.
You will be one of the most public faces of Salesforce for our ISV partners and customers who depend on the AppExchange. You will get to know these groups intimately and understand their industries, their business issues, and their functional requirements. You will represent these communities in the product development lifecycle through the Agile development process. You will be challenged to blend customer-centric and partner-centric principles with industry-changing innovation.
+ Lead a team of experienced product managers in the development of shared roadmap priorities and a collaborative approach to delivery.
+ Develop and drive the AppExchange product roadmap, driving critical capabilities from concept to customer.
+ Engage with customers and partners to deliver roadmap updates, get product feedback, feed that information back into our development process, and identify additional challenges and opportunities.
+ Represent Salesforce as a domain and product expert at customer interactions, industry and corporate events, and through community sites and social media.
+ Create and maintain product requirements and documentation to inform the product lifecycle from idea through release and maintenance.
+ Serve as a marketplace evangelist in the broader software industry.
+ 10+ years of professional experience in software product management in a high-growth business.
+ In depth understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem.
+ Track record of customer success marked by enthusiastic reference customers.
+ Knowledge of the enterprise application software lifecycle.
+ Experience with both direct and indirect (channel) sales models in enterprise software.
+ Familiarity with SaaS economics.
+ A solid understanding of the Iaas, PaaS, SaaS industries and familiarity with major cloud platforms and ecosystems.
+ A working knowledge of Scrum, Lean, Agile software development methodologies.
+ Top notch written and oral communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership, participating in the sales cycle, and handling sensitive customer escalations.
+ Experience with matrixed management and team structures.
+ 3+ years working in a role with multinational or international responsibilities.
+ An understanding of the transformation impact of artificial intelligence on the enterprise software marketplace.
