We are looking for a Web Developer with at least 5 years of full-time development experience (based on projects completed) to join our growing team. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and have a great team to help you in your professional growth.
The majority of your days will be spent hand coding design files (Sketch/XD/Photoshop > Zeplin) into fully functional custom WordPress sites. The skillsets we are looking for are likely more heavily UI (SCSS/JS/HTML), than PHP/MySQL, but familiarity with both is important. We have been using WordPress since it was only a blog-engine and have tons of resources to support you in developing using it.
It doesn’t matter to us if you have a computer science degree, a design degree, or a cooking degree...if you have a proven track record of programing clean user interface files you are a strong candidate for this position.

About You
- You are confident in slicing up complex design files to create responsive interface files.
- You understand how to be a part of a team and take direction well, as well as being a strong independent contributor to a team.
- You have experience working fully remotely and working for a small firm.
- You understand what it's like to work at a boutique firm and have some ability to interface with clients if need be (on specific technical conversations).
- You understand how responsive website development effects the user-interface of a site and have worked with solutions to implement.
- You have a feel for good user experience and can extrapolate flat design files into user interfaces that make sense for end-users.
- You are familiar with CSS pre-processors (SASS/LESS) and understand the benefits of working with them.
- You understand the CSS box-model and how the various positioning properties are applied to build a complex layout.
- You have a never-ending desire to learn how things work.
- You have an efficient test and correct approach when troubleshooting issues.
- You have dealt with internet explorer bugs and understand what CSS3 - properties cause issues with legacy browsers.
- You have some experience with Javascript and jQuery (slideshows, drop down menus, overlays) and are interested in learning more.
- You are heavier in experience as far as front-end with some back-end familiarity. The effort on our projects is about 70% front-end and 30% backend (WordPress CMS).
- You understand PHP/WordPress and have implemented some sites using WordPress.
