As a Web Engineer your essential job functions will include the following:
- Understand more than one platform / language, learn new technologies and can integrate technologies as well as use more advanced tools for your technology.
- Be a mentor and teach others.
- Monitor promoted code.
- Be more efficient in finding issues and initial issue management.
- Understand there is more than one way to complete a task and recognizing and choosing what is best within your own technology as well as analyzing pro's and con's and realizing ramifications.
- Think outside of your own technology, understand the ramifications of your work and how the choices you make affect other teams.
- Work deeply within one technology.
- Understand how long activities should take. Be able to set deadlines on project subtasks.
- Write effective tests and appropriately integrate testing into the development process.
- Start to understand business processes affected by development.
- Learn all of Dealer Tire's security standards.
- Analyze business processes.
- Be proficient in two of the following languages: Node.JS, Golang, ColdFusion/Lucee or Javascript,
- Basic Linux skills
- Have a basic understanding of relevant frameworks and how they can be applied.
- Can write basic SQL.
- Follow best practices around code performance
- Trace problems through the entire request lifecycle.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, preferred.
- 4+ years of related experience, preferably in design, development and documentation.

Physical Job Requirements:
- Continuous viewing from and inputting data into a computer screen
